Massachusetts Electronic Surveillance Statute

Martin v. Rollins: The United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit ruled that the Massachusetts electronic surveillance statute, G.L. c.272, §99, violates the First Amendment rights of plaintiffs Martin and Pérez by exposing them to criminal prosecution for secretly tape-recording police officers performing their official duties in public places.
